What, if the gorgeous glamgirl "Shilpa Shetty" is neither a US citizen nor a resident of New York city? Still city Mayor "Mike Bloomberg" is going flying these days with the gorgeous actress.As the elections come close in the US for the post mayor, Bloomberg is hoping to acquire more votes from the large Indian-American community residing in New York, as Bollywood actress Shilpa is pretty famous in that community.
Shilpa was recently in New York to participate in the annual Indian Day Parade which was attended by the mayor too.
Sharing her thought on Bloomberg's leadership of the New York City, Shilpa told, "I think Bloomberg has really been a good mayor for the city. Just to show his solidarity with the Asian community, he came out here today which made his image a lot better in my eyes. I wish him all the luck."
The actress added, "The video of this brief press conference has been posted on the website of the mayor under the headline: Prominent Bollywood film actress, Shilpa Shetty, endorses Mayor Bloomberg for re-election".
Portraying Shilpa, the website writes: "Shetty was born in Mangalore, India and was honoured today as the parade's Grand Marshall where she marched with the Mayor. She has appeared in numerous Indian movies and was also the winner of the reality TV show 'Big Brother' in UK."
