Congratulations to Michelle Wie on being named to the 2009 U.S. Solheim Cup team today by Captain Beth Daniel. Wie was one of Daniel's two wildcard picks. A pretty easy choice, really, given that among those players who failed to make the Top 10 in points, Wie is really the only playing well in 2009. She finished 13th in points, but did in that just one season - all those ahead of her were accumulating points over two seasons.
